Hello LIRID! My name is Alyssa Lardi and I’m originally from Kings Park. I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s ITP and have been interpreting for 5 years. I've lived and worked in several areas including DC, Maryland, and NYC, before moving back to LI in 2020. I’m very excited and honored to work with this amazing Board of Directors and serve our Long Island Deaf and Interpreting communities!

Ryan's Bio:
Hi, my name is Ryan Niewender and I’m from Westbury, Long Island. I started my interpreting journey at LaGuardias AEIP program in 2019. I graduated in 2021 with my BA in ASL - English Interpreting. Since than, I’ve been freelancing in NYC and Long Island. I also currently work full time at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. I am also currently obtaining my Masters degree at RIT/NTID.

Dr. Porche is the Executive Director of Education at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. With over 21 years of experience, Dr. Porche brings a vast wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to organizational management, leadership, and ensures that the culture, language, and history of the Deaf is valued and embraced. He also provides consultation and motivational speech on topics relating to organizational change, transformational leadership, and inclusion in the workplace.

Hello! My name is Kayla Bisceglia (Fairbrother). I am from Commack, New York. I started my interpreting journey at Suffolk County Community College, then transferred to Gallaudet University where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Interpretation and Transliteration in 2019. Currently, I work as a freelance interpreter on Long Island and NYC, as well as a VRS interpreter at Convo Communications, and a staff interpreter at Helen Keller National Center.
